なりゆき【成り行き】

〔経過〕 the course 《of events》; the development 《of an affair》; the progress 《of inquiries》; 〔推移〕 the turn 《of events》; 〔結果〕 the issue 《of a war》; the consequence 《of one's doing》; the outcome 《of a matter》; 〔運命〕 the destiny 《of a man》.
